Bladder Cancer is an uncontrolled and irregular growth of the lining cells of the urethra or urinary bladder, which causes an accumulation of cells and then an obstruction of the urethra.
Symptoms:
1. The presence of blood in the urine.
2. Sense of frequent need to urinate and inability to do so.
3. Pain in the back or abdomen accompanied by contractions in the urethra.
4. Weakness in the strength of urine with severe burning sensation.
5. Anemia and weight loss.
6. Strain rapidly.
Causes:
1. Smoking.
2. Frequent urinary infections.
3. Bilharzias infection.
4. Exposure to aniline which is used in dyes and printing.
Methods of Treatment:
1. Surgical intervention.
2. Chemotherapy.
3. Radiotherapy.
